Mandeep Ahluwalia moves over from Standard Bank to become managing director of relationships for the global banks team. Richard Herder joins the US team from Deutsche Bank as head of insurance for North America.The Carlyle GroupThe private equity group has appointed Benjamin Du Boulay as a director in London, reporting to Robert Hodges and Mark Harris, managing director and director respectively of the UK real estate team.Du Boulay joins from Invista Real Estate, where he was a director and head of the central London offices.In his new role, he will work across Carlyle’s UK portfolio, but will hold specific responsibility for the White Tower portfolio of six London properties, which the firm acquired for £671m in July.HSBCAnthony Hingley and Hicham Najem have been appointed as directors of the London-based investment advisory group at HSBC’s private banking arm.Hingley was previously an investment adviser at HSBC Private Bank in Doha, Qatar, having joined in 1999.
