Big salute to your courage.Heart reaches out to all soldiers who serve the nation in any & all extreme weather Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) February 11, 2016 Hanumanthappa and nine colleagues were buried alive after a mass of snow collapsed on their post on the Siachen Glacier, which India and Pakistan have fought over intermittently for three decades.Although presumed dead, Hanumanthappa, was found with a pulse by rescue workers using shovels and chainsaws to cut through the ice and snow to reach the buried soldiers at a height of 19,600 feet (6,000 metres).Kohli, who has been rested for the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka tweeted to express his solidarity with soldiers like Hanumanthappa, who serve in extreme weather conditions.Tendulkar, who had been praying for Hanumanthappa’s speedy recovery , said the braveheart’s death has left India shattered.The only ray of hope amidst the devastating news of the avalanche was finding one of our jawans alive against all odds.
